I was fortunate my mom was stubborn, she took me to several hospitals and all the doctors kept telling her it was nothing serious to go home, she ended up going to a teaching hospital as I was apparently not well at all, and it was only there that someone mentioned it could be meningitis and it was, if she had not been stubborn and listened to the first few doctors, who knows if I would have even survived.

A man was complaining about his job being the worst ever; he said "It's terrible, I have to give enemas to the elephants in the circus when they become constipated. I set up a stepladder behind them, climb up and insert a couple of feet of hose in their rectums then turn on the water. After a minute or 2 they let loose and this avalanche of dung and water comes flying out, drenching me and knocking me right off the ladder". I asked why he didn't just quit.... and he said
"What, and give up show business?"

I had human waste dumped on me once years ago on the ramp, equipment failure while doing lavs, was most unpleasant. Luckily that doesn't happen super often, but it does happen, but working around planes is worth the risk of such an event..lol
That was back in the day when most airlines did things in house, before the outsourcing became the norm.

I like trains too. When I was younger I tried to get a job with various rail roads in the US, tried in Canada a few times as well in the early days of being here.
When I lived in Ontario, I would sometimes get on a train going East and go a few city's over, spend a few hours and then go back home, Via has lots of service along the corridor route so was easy and fairly inexpensive.
Nothing like that out west here, Via is only long haul and only a few days a week.
