The AC in my car hasn't worked since the car was new, it didn't seem worth making a fuss about. Do you drive outside of Canada a lot?

But if I recall correctly, your car also fails to have a roof?

Not really.

I think it will almost impossible to resell it without AC.

Yes. Running the airco in a convertible is raising a postively Albertan finger at the fate of the world.

My car or cars in general? If the former, it's a five year old VW, I'd struggle to give it away with or without options. In general, I don't think that's the case in Ontario, this is a cold place so airco isn't really relevant. I honestly can't recall which of the cars I've owned had air conditioning.

The rest of the features are more or less the same. In MB.

I am voting for the AC, my OH prefers the other one...

Will it be very difficult to sell a car with manual transmission? and with no AC?
Go for AC. It'd be uncomfortable to live with and difficult to sell it without it.

I sit in my car for 8-14 hours a day. It gets a bit warm without having the AC on now n again.

If I remember correctly, this year I first turned the car's AC on in March.

He claims to be in Saskatoon. AC in March may simply be a fantasy.

Having said that, I wouldn't want a car in the GTA without air conditioning; and to keep the thread vaguely on topic, manual all the way.

An automatic costs typically $1000 more than a manual and for that you can get air conditioning.

I rest my case.

I believe most of us that came from the UK, would have passed our DT in manual mode anyway, so it's not like we can't drive manual.

Why did you quote my post and then make a completely irrelevant comment?

I wouldnt want to go through a Nova Scotia summer without AC in my car. Isnt it meant to be warmer than here in Ontario in the summer?

Dbd is talking for show I expect. 29° here today (again). Its been a long hot summer. AC in the car is a good thing sometimes. AC at home also a bonus, although my $150 hydro bill ($170 without the government rebate) not so much.

Ive had cars here where the AC didnt work and I survived, although its not great in or after a thunderstom when the windows are closed.

Ive never had one that didnt have it originally though.
