It probably made sense back in the 1970s but not now. I've actually been driving on the Deerfoot when accidents have happened, the Bow Bottom Trail exit is notorious as well as Memorial Drive. You have loads of people merge onto the Deerfoot and they have to cross two lanes to get onto the Deerfoot in order not to end up on Bow Bottom Trail. Saw two cars crash straight into each other as one tried to exit and one tried to merge.
it wouldn't even have made sense back in the 1970s..ill be glad when they reopen 52nd street and complete stoney trail down to highway 22x
