This piece of news has become a media circus. I pity the family members.

I know. Imagine if it was your wife/husband/daughter/son. Absolutely awful. The worst thing is that we are all so closely "watched" these days, how can a bloody whole plane with hundreds of people just vanish? What happened to "triangulation" to pinpoint phone signals (remember at the beginning some of the phones were working?). What about the NSA, super spooks... they lose a plane?? It just does not compute. Somebody, somewhere, knows exactly where that plane is, but isn't telling.

How far away, and has it been proposed that there was a fire burning for hours? It wouldn't take that long to do damage, would it? Anyway they've leaked a map now showing the military radar over Malaysia and it went west over Malaysia, turned NE to follow the coast, then west over the Malacca Straits. That isn't a fire. That's hijacking. And mathematically they can work out from the ACAR ping and the distance from the satellite the direction and speed roughly anyway. So from the point of the last ping is the corridor they're searching now. Surface radar is a very highly developed technology to search for say, incoming torpedoes and there isn't much down there so in theory they should be able to find it. |

Using capitals to post, in internet terms, is akin to shouting. http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Tips_on_using_the_forum (9) TYPING IN ALL CAPS FONT ON THE INTERNET IS INTERPRETED AS SHOUTING, AND IS CONSIDERED RUDE. if you cannot use both capitals and lower case letters, it is considered more polite to type all lower case. |
