yeah but i hear they're not cheap either. i bought the wrong plug adaptor for my latop at the airport terminal 5 (bought the US one) and couldnt find one here. the guy at the local pc store charged me $15 for the a new canadian type power cord.

That's cheap. You mean for the whole powercord transformer laptop thing and not just an adaptor? I had to buy a new one not so long ago -the kitten chewed through the old one- and it cost $80.

just the cord thats plugs into the wall and the adaptor, i mean it doesnt include the laptop transformer, the latter is ok.

I know, i mean all i meant to say was that :didnt you ever see these things in pc stores? for god sake its detachable, unless yours is really old. even my $15 was too steep, i know for sure but i had no choice, i still havent seen the plug adaptor in the shops. bet they dont sell it here. after all we are in canada, why would canadians need it. mind the cat!! was it not after the pc mouse after all? it got confused

I'm intrigued to know what the differences were between a US adaptor and a Canadian one, to the extent that a US one wouldn't work in a Canadian outlet.
