They will do what everbody else does. They will sign a 3 yr contract with a carrier and get the phone at a discounted price.
Seriously who goes out and just buys the phone then starts looking for a carrier. Obviously not all carriers will carry the phone much like the Galaxy S3 or HTC One or any of the other smart phones.
Paying $700 for a phone is not smart IMHO. Just because the phone is a smart phone doesnt mean the user is

Its a little scratch for FFS Im sure the first time you drop it there might be more damage to it as opposed to a little scratch.Quality control anyone.
