Apple and google have killed the hand held gaming device market - the 3DS and Vita will likely be the last specialist devices.

The Wii sold like hotcakes, but there really aren't that many good games for it once you remove the first party titles. I have one and it sits gathering dust on the shelf where as the PS3 is under the TV.

The Wii U is a disaster waiting to happen and I suspect Nintendo will go the way of Sega in a few years and end up software only.

And that 3DS is an "Opti-Grab"-style class action lawsuit waiting to happen. It'll be the final nail in their hardware coffin, for sure.

Quite. I also have a very basic phone. It does what I want. It makes and receives calls/texts to/from the very small number of people that have my number (and when I switch it on). I can use it abroad. I don't want anything else.

I will be roaming on it as of tomorrow and fully anticipate being Rogered by Rogers. I'm quite looking forward to when my contract runs out in November.

I have a Blackberry for text, email and camera. They keyboard is very good and emails come through immediately. Voice calls? I never answer when it rings/vibrates. I can hear these days but don't see the need to chat on the phone.

Proof, if needed, that you are not my wife. It boggles me how she can spend that long, every day, discussing the same crap with the same person.

If they made one that floats and doesn't bugger up when wet then I'd get one other than that I'll keep buying a new cheap phone every other month.

Apple f***ed up with the iPhone 5. It's not backward comparable so all new chords and chargers will have to be purchased.

RIM may make a come back with the bury 10.

RIM are facing a slow painful death. Their new devices will be too little, too late. No come back for that company now.

The only hope they may have left is if they franchise or 'app' BBM for Android and iPhone.

It won't make it float though. I keep dropping them in the sea. I've seen cases that make them float but they are too big and bulky.
