Well, this new version has been allowing those 12 year old kids to maintain employment in the phone factories in China.

I think there's a problem with this new blingy thingy in that it's a communication device that only works if you're in the same room as the person you're communicating with. If you're in a different room they don't know if you have a iPhone 4, 5, Blackberry or wall phone with ear trumpet and so it doesn't matter which one you have. It seems to me that kind of image projected to people in the same room by waving one's phone around can be more cheaply conveyed by wearing a wide tie with a risque neon image.

Anyway, chances are all the stock destined for Canada is going to be bought up and exported by sad Yanks who won't be able to buy one in the US because Apple is about to lose a patent dispute with HTC.

Unsure about this item, so I did some "online" research.
I discovered:
It's a rectangle with rounded corners
It's easy to turn on.
When touched or stroked, it reacts immediately
It's available in black or white
You're supposed to hold one next to your face. Or stare at it while stroking it with your fingers
While holding it close to your mouth, any vocal sounds you make will be acknowledged with audible feedback
You can play with it all day long.
When you're done with it, it goes back into a pocket
It takes only a couple of hours to recharge
I'm still none the wiser, but I suppose it must be one of those new "smart phone" thingies

Nintendo is the company I fear for. What with Vita compatibility with PS3, phone/tablet compatibility with XBOX (as well as new Playstation & XBOX versions due sometime soonish) I really can't see WII U causing much of a sensation when it's released this year.
