I was surprised to see the score this morning. I'd anticipated that Vancouver would lose badly. After the first four, I went to bed. They seem to have fought back.

Remember that game 7 is in Vancouver. The Canucks have won all three home games and Luongo has been stellar (only two goals conceded).

I'm certain Luongo will start. I'm also certain he'll be pulled if Boston scores early. He goes downhill rapidly.

Shall we make a prediction? Mine is this.

If Boston score early, they will win convincingly. If they don't score early, Vancouver will win narrowly.

The Bruins will undoubtedly be physical and try for intimidation. I reckon the outcome will be decided in the first five minutes.

Pretty broad prediction....

I'll just go with Vancouver. I actually expect a referee clamp down on the Boston bullying and they only seem to be able to do it at home anyway.

If the Bruins score in the first five minutes, they will win by a margin of at least three goals. If they do not score in the first five minutes, Vancouver will win by a margin of one goal.

I also predict that Don Cherry will wear a revolting suit and talk drivel.

If anyone fancies a game on Wednesday then take your skates with you down to Rogers Arena. I think the Canucks will be struggling to put a full team on the ice.

I'm not sure if they have enough gas left in the tank to play another game. Certainly not enough to come back if they fall behind early.

True enough. The Canucks are a team built around speed, skill and finesse. Perfect for the regular season when the flair players are given some protection. However, the playoffs become a battle of physical attrition. You have to hand it to the Bruins that they have made the most of the referees inability to find their whistles.

It is not pretty but tactically they have got it spot on.

It is not luck. It is their reward for winning the regular season at a canter. And, if the same rules applied in the playoffs that applied in the regular season I suspect they would have had the Stanley Cup in Vancouver some while ago.

Yes, but come on: the Western Conference is less competitive than the Eastern Conference. There was really no challenger to the Nucks out West, certainly not my team, and definitely not those pathetic Flames either.

Sadly I don't think there will be a riot even if the canucks lead by 3-0 and then lose 4-3.

When I look at 99% of those wandering around downtown today with canucks jerseys on you can tell these people aren't even ice hockey fans, let alone the sort of people that have enough passion to riot. Lets face it, what we have here is the canadian equivalent of man utd.

It would be spectacular with a riot but a Canucks win it would seem would piss off a lot more other people than if they lost. So I vote for a Vancouver win, with a nice riot downtown, maybe with some police heavy-handedness but hopefully they all stay away from where I live. :thumbup:

We're on a higher floor so it'd be interesting to watch. Luckily some of the fatties wearing canucklehead shirts won't be able to throw that far and would probably be out of breath picking up the rock.

It would be churlish to not hope for a Vancouver win; especially as the rest of Canada seems to hate the canucks and there is an element of rubbing their faces in it. Although I think I'll avoid the local news for the next six months if they do win.

Apparently they've closed all the liquor shops at 4:00pm bolted down all the traffic bollards and removed newspaper machines and other objects that could be thrown about. Shops are boarding up their windows, should be a good show. :thumbup:

Oh dear, those Bruins look to be in control. And Jabba's in line for the Conn Smyth too. I don't think I'm that important but this is clearly starting to look like a conspiracy to have a go at me back becasue of this thread.

It's disgusting......Whoever made the comparison to Man Utd fans are bang on.....This looks like a British footie riot, not a hockey game :0( None of this is something to be proud of. These people are giving Vancouver, Ice Hockey and Canada a bad name.

Anyone with cars parked in downtown Vancouver should be nervous.......Even in parking garages....Insane.
