I hate the Bruins
God, I hate Boston. There, I've said it. Not only are they a dirty, ugly team to watch (slashing people off the puck left, right and centre), they seem to have gathered support from other "certain" anti-Vancouver teams in the Western conference who clearly aren't anywhere near good enough to be in the playoffs (even though they thnk they are). Pathetic. Also, their uniform's shit and the goalie looks like a total twat, someone who looks like he's eaten the Stanley Cup already. Chara just looks like a freak.
I'm not a Canucks fan at all but between these two teams in the Final I really hope the Nucks stuff 'em. :D |
Re: I hate the Bruins
I'm a Canucks fan, and totally agree!
 |
Re: I hate the Bruins
Well Canucks WIN 3-2 in OT.
Go Van Go  |
Re: I hate the Bruins
The only reason to be even remotely concerned with icing hockey is that there's beer around.

Re: I hate the Bruins
The Bruins haven't won it in years...they're also the let down team for the state, Patriots, Red Sox and even the Celtics have all won recently.
Either way, it's all a bag of shite, until someone bleeds :D |

Re: I hate the Bruins
I was looking for a math problem today for something I am doing. I found this and as it mentioned hockey thought it would be culturally relevant. I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't - though it was about hockey

Nasty hit by Storm there. Play the puck not the man. Even I know that! Nathan Horton looks worse for wear now. |

Perhaps others have told you, but you need serious counseling/anger management.
I am calm, even though king of the donut mountain kicked aside pretty much everything during the game. Awful hit tonight. I might even reverse my original stance on Boston being very dirty - the Canucks were woeful this evening (not just in their clean play either). |

But Vancouver will not miss him anywhere near as much as Boston will miss Horton who is gone for the rest of the playoffs too with a severe concussion. |

However, you can only play the man with the puck. The Rome hit was punishable because it was late - a second after Horton had played it. |

"I probably viewed it like most of you did," Murphy said. "I thought it was a late hit, I thought the body was contacted, but I also thought the head was hit and it caused a serious injury to Nathan Horton. So the key components are the late hit and I had it close to a second late -- we have out own formula at NHL hockey (operations) for late hits -- and it was late and we saw the seriousness of the injury with Nathan on the ice. "That is basically what we deliberated on. We tried to compared it with some of the other ones in the past, but it stands alone and that is why we made the ruling." http://communities.canada.com/vancou...oncussion.aspx |

I'm starting to understand why some cradles I know don't like hockey.
What would be a penalty during the regular season gets ignored during the playoffs. Sometimes it seems like something like what happened to Horton has to happen before a penalty is called. I know that is an extreme example but really the referees let far more go during the playoffs than than they do during the regular season. This happens in all levels of professional hockey and in major junior as well. |
Re: I hate the Bruins
NHL Ice Hockey should be renamed 'Goons 'R' us'....

I take it I missed the pleasure of watching yet another piece of unforgivable and mindless brutality last night?

Not that I care. |
