I'm sorry, I don't know what you are disgusted with?
Enjoy the rest of the "play"-offs. |

Dude. Seriously.
My issue was with the reaction against the hit being determined by the injury caused. An accidental hit can cause a horrible injury - but that doesn't mean that the hit was 'terrible' (not that Rome hit him by accident!). I don't think that Rome went into that hit with the intention of putting Horton in hospital - if he did, he should be banned for life. In contrast to the elbows and dangerous hits that the NHL ignores, looking purely at the hit, this seems a strange one to give a 4 game Stanley Cup final suspension to - that is all. |

Sorry if I've caused offense by this. I'll prefix this by stating the obvious, that I hope that Horton is fine - I don't want to see professional athletes get injured, and it was sickening seeing him lying on the ice.

Last time I lived in Canada (Vancouver) it was all about Todd Bertuzzi which I recall being a nasty business. I assume he never played again.
Not that I care. Just in case you care just a tiny little bit. ;) |

Okay, I'm going to bow out. Sincere appologies if my comments have caused any offense - I honestly didn't mean them to.

While that's no doubt very kind of you, I have no interest in clicking on that.

Not that I care. He's still playing today but currently being sued and counter sueing his coach at the time for encouraging him to take Steve Moore out. |

He's still playing. After returning from his suspension he played for the Florida Panthers, the Anaheim Ducks, the Calgary Flames and is currently playing for the Detroit Red Wings or at least was when they got knocked out of the playoffs.

Which shows that you know very little at all. If you knew anything about hockey you would know that playing the man, not the puck, is a normal part of defensive play.
However, you can only play the man with the puck. The Rome hit was punishable because it was late - a second after Horton had played it. I seem to remember your poor knowledge and similarly ill thought out comments last year when you tried to pretend you were some expert during the Olympics with your insiteful tactical analysis. |

Which basically means you have to play the puck and not the man which was exactly what I said Sherlock.
