How cold is it?

-11c or so absolute but -20 or lower for windchill. Tomorrow is supposed to be colder but Monday pm will be +10c!

-17/-27 when I went on a short walk to the local shop this morning.
Without a trace of sarcasm, the woman serving me asked "chilly out walking?"

Tomorrow's weather has a hint of irony:
Rainfall warnings for Nova Scotia
Winter Storm warning for Vancouver
(And the rest of the country is lit up like a brake light Public Weather Alerts for Canada - Environment Canada.)

It has put the naffers on my fishing trip so we're having an old school Subbuteo tournament instead.

Hey that sounds fantastic. How many teams do you have? Are they the modern strips? My brother and I had over 30 teams at one point. Got none now. Do they still even make it? What have you got the pitch on? I'm too creaky to grovel around on a carpet for any length of time.

32F and snowing.
Snowing all the way Whistler to Squamish, and not one plow or salt truck on the highway. Nice to see BC as incompetent as ever when it snows.
Luckily once about 25 minutes south of Whistler it was not sticking anymore, but the first 25 minutes was hazardous, could not see the road markings at all, hard a times to judge where your lane was.

Looks like we've bottomed out at -34 with a windchill of -46, cold as part of a brass monkey.
