Those damn Danes have it right again. Their hot dog stands use baguette type bread which they push down onto a heated spike which has a slightly larger diameter than the hot dogs. It makes a splendid toasted orifice into which one's hot dog is inserted.

Have to admit I've never had a problem getting sausages in Calgary, I didn't realize it was so difficult across the border. Several local butchers make them and Loblaw's (aka superstore and various other names) have a pretty wide variety.

There is no shortage of sausages in Sk., it's a myth. I actually have a 'Sausage of the Month' card from one of our local butchers. Looking forward to the Sausage Fair!
