If it isn't bad enough that the men talk about trucks all the time, women (OK, and a few men) are obsessed about washing. Get a housemaid and a dolly peg I say. Oh and a life. This is really not what I am coming to Canada for You just wait til you are wandering along the aisles at your local Safeway (or whatever) wondering what on earth is orange pekoe tea, and is it safe to drink!!!! |

Well we'd never heard of it. Didn't worry me too much actually, but OH is more the tea drinker! ;)
I knew nothing about shopping for anything let alone tea. So I've learned everything here. I can safely be accused of going native.:rofl::rofl: |

Have you any idea who really made it?
I have always been given to understand Kenmore is just a brand name used by Sears, and the appliances are manufactured by differing companies depending who could build it to Sears specifications at the right price. Yeah, we were told that it was a whirlpool on sears clothing:rofl: I wouldn't have bought a whirlpool as I don't like the rep' they had in the UK.....I still can't believe we spent so much on the things - still had our 'Oh it's only xxxx pounds heads on:unsure:' |
Re: help ladies, which canadian washer?
Miele and Persil for me. Can't believe I took so long to ditch the useless North American top loader - bloody awful things; the difference in the results is amazing.

Re: help ladies, which canadian washer?
So, what would you all say was the best types of washers to go for? Top Loaders or Front Loaders?
Karla x x x |
Re: help ladies, which canadian washer?
Did I miss an exiting top loader/ front loader debate:)
Cant be bothered playing catch up with 5 pages of washer drivel Try getting nappies from the bucket to the washer with a front loader, and then, my god, front loaders are are sooooo slooooooooow, and if overloaded do a really crappy job. Top loader, Energy Star, Kenmore, Cant go wrong. But we have a well and dont pay for water:p And no, not all top loaders ( or front loaders either I guess) are created equal, some work better than others. Our newer kenmore (with triple aggitation, whatever that is) works much much better than the old one it replaced. Plus $600 for a washer makes a lot more sense to me than $1600. Detergent? We use the cheap no name stuff in the big jugs. Its all the same people, detergent is detergent, its how much you put in that makes the most difference. The rest is marketing BS. |
