hello all

we are wondering if there is anyone who is good in writing poems,i will try and explain the reason for this.
when we came over to nova scotia in 2008 we rented a house, we paid up in full for 6 months but because we were very un happy with the house etc, we left early leaving him we our full rent, we later found out that he had re rented the house(sub let) and so received money twice for the same period,
so to cut a long story short, after many visits to the tenency board and the small claims court and then the surpreme courts we won, and he had to pay us the full money plus interest etc, so we have just received the money for the courts.
what we want to do, is send him a sarcastic poem in a big card with a smiley face on it . basically explaining that this could have been settled many months ago with us saying we would except a lower figure to end it all,but no he wanted to take us to court , but his attitude to us and the whole thing makes us want to have the last say.

because we want to gloat, he was a very nasty piece of work, yes we won, but, im going to rub it in im affraid, the stress and worry he put us through, whilst jo wa pregnant wa amence.
the nasty emails we received and comments drove us mad, hence the reason we had to get the sheriff involved.

Was this the reason that you went to court? Would you have not bothered if you never knew the house was rented? If you signed a contract and then backed out, I probably would have sided with him.

You think he was a nasty piece of work and one of the things he did that caused you stress and worry was to send you nasty emails and comments, so you are going to do the same thing? What does that make you?

You can feed your bile or be the better person and move on.

I haven't spent much time on the forum lately but logged in a few minutes ago to catch up a little bit more.

Just over a week ago an out-of-control 28 tonne truck rolled over on a slip road, flattened my car and somehow both myself and my 6 year old daughter survived with just a few "minor" injuries. The worst thing I have at the moment is that my right hand, my primary hand, is misbehaving because the grab handle on the other side of the car hit my arm and banged-up the radial nerve (etc). I can't write. But hopefully this is just temporary.

I have no malice towards the driver, I just want to move on with my life.

Don't sweat the small stuff, life is too short.

I'm crap at this sort of thing but hope this helps. Give him what for.
