It'd probably be a lot cheaper for her to adopt. Why is she so obsessed with perpetuating her defective genes?

No need, I've already had a surgeon do that job. Quite an experience it was.

Not nice Bazzz - commenting on events and such like is one thing - sly comments like that when you don't know the circumstances of a lot of people on this board are too close to the mark

Seems like a no brainer to me. On the one hand you've got people who can have children, have them, but don't want them. On the other hand you've got people who can't have children, don't have them and want them. Why spend all this time messing around with expensive reproductive biology when there's a much more sane solution. Are people really that vain?

I can assume that you don't have children from that comment. Unless you are or want to be a parent you can't even begin to explain the need of a desperate couple to have a child of "their own". Of course adoption is an issue but when faced with even the remotest chance of having one with the person you love then you grasp it.

Well go on then. You explain it.

I can explain it Bazzz because I am in that situation - but really don't care to disclose that many details about my private life

I am NOT saying I agree entirely but you do have a point........ a little girl I know was fostered by 3 different foster families before I met her through her 4th foster mother...... who put her on a diet because she was a little tubby, she was 6:frown: She started to steal food from the other kids lunch boxes so she *got rid of her* to another foster family...she was then adopted by another foster family on the proviso her £300 a week foster money was paid up until she turned 18:curse:
People can be Bastards when it comes to Children, and although I understand the biological pull to have kids, I just wish unfortunate people who can't have there own would try harder to see these kids are unfortunate too and there could be some very happy families put together from unfortunate circumstances.
Having said that if I could afford it and couldn't have kids myself I would have had IVF its not vanity its biology!

Just had the news on they have boarded up the house, as people have been taking the law into there own hands ( whatever that means )

Thats awful - these people will never change their ways irrespective of what happens to their house or whatever, and the poor kids that are left at home (or wherever they are now) will be scared to death bless them what a sad sad situation

apparently her mum confessed to getting the idear from the tv series shameless to make money, now she's getting sent down and her step dads got sent down sent for Kiddi porn. The poor kid will end up in the care of social services (for the better from the sound of it)

V telling!

I always thought something didn't ring true when i watched the online statements the mother made.
The very fact that the poor child has never wanted to go home says it all really. I wonder what the real dad has to say about all this, was he in on it too?
