.

There is WAY more going on behind the scenes on this one, than will ever make it into the press or the public arena. The locals will know, and gossip.

But the girl is alive, and let's hope some peace and order can be brought into her unhappy life ....

oh this is a happy thread ATM!

No it isn't. It's the week he would have turned 18. He was killed around 15/16 years ago.

I am presently on the outskirts of Bradford and I have found the new coverage extensive. Apparently she has seen her mum and the police are yet to question the little girl, the whole of her local estate appears to be partying following the news of her being found.

This child maybe living in a chav environment, but that does not means she is not loved by her mum. How many middle or upper class children are subject to abuse and terror within their familes, unknow to their immediate carer. Caution should be excercised when new like this breaks, whatever ordeal she may have suffered, she is still just a child!

And no Bradford is not Canada, but it is home for now.

That comment about badly behaved kids made me laugh. At work today we had a woman of Chinese descent and her four year old boy. He sat very quietly on the floor on the reception room and played with some toys that are around for such an occasion. The lady I work with told him that he was very well behaved.

Then she proceeded to tell me about some clients who came in with two fairly young children a while ago, a boy and a girl. She said they made a racket the whole time their parents with in with the lawyer. They left our office and proceeded to run up and down the stairs until the receptionist downstairs came out and told them to behave. Their visit culminated in the boy using a scarf to tie his sister to the legs of the vanity in the ladies bathroom!!!

Yes and these are very middle class well off people - not working class.

I diddn't make myself very clear: I meant as compared to the vast amount of coverage given to MM. Also after the first day's reporting, the BBC haven't covered it at all (unless it is just R4 that are not covering it - I don't watch news anymore).

According certain sectors here in the UK working class have lost their 'values' - well how do we describe the middle class McCann's. As i said before children are precious it doesn't matter what their class, colour or creed is.
