Goodness me. The main thing that strikes me about the 45 minute interview between university staff is just the general level of inarticularcy. These people are highly paid educators????

What struck me was the use of the word 'haul' (hauled before her superiors) as if it's unreasonable to have someone account for themselves to some sort of hearing and the reference to inquisition.
It's like when people discuss an issue and one speaks of the other person 'bleating' about something, because it's easier to do that than address the issue.
I'm afraid I just can't treat an opinion piece as well balanced, well argued, when it uses such condescending or emotive language.

I like this part
"He may in fact be one of the only Canadians who is internationally known for an ability to communicate, as well as think. "

I applaud Jordan Peterson for sticking to his guns and his beliefs as I'm sure the 'progressives' would love to shut him down as his views don't co-incide with theirs.
I wonder what Ezra Levant has to say about all of this.

Re: Gender Pronouns
A teacher is facing disciplinary action at his school after he referred to a transgender pupil as a girl, although the student identifies as a boy.
Joshua Sutcliffe, a Christian pastor from Oxford, admitted he said "Well done girls" when addressing a group including the student.
He described it as a "slip of the tongue", but said he believed biological sex was defined at birth
The school said it would be "inappropriate" to comment.
Mr Sutcliffe, who teaches children aged between 11 and 18, said the incident took place on 2 November.
He said a week-long investigation found he had "misgendered" the pupil.

It does amuse me that a group of people who claim to hate being labeled, are more than happy to a) label themselves, and b) label others. Apparently I'm "Cis" according to them. Not exactly sure what that stands for, guessing heterosexual person of the gender they were born as?
The other thing that annoys me about all of this is how do you know, on initial contact, before any kind of introduction, what pronoun a person wishes to be addressed by? Dear lord forbid if you dare misgender them. you're then treated as being transphobic.
If the person in question states what pronoun they prefer, fair enough. Doesn't mean I'm actually going to remember to use it though. Not through malice, just forgetfulness.

cis
An improperly used latin prefix, used as the "opposite" of "trans." Almost exclusively used in the compound phrase "cisgender" to refer to people whose biological sex matches their mental gender.

Oh I love how it mentions "improperly used", I just bet if that was mentioned to someone banging on about correct pronouns that they would get all flustered about it.
