going back to the OP, just on business basis - I wonder if the owners such as the ones in the link if they have ever thought to discourage customers to simply up the room rate or just say no room at the inn?
This is all for nowt & bloody stupid are those hotel owners imo if they are running a business where they likely see all kinds of funny goings on without worrying about gays occupying the rooms.

I think he meant me but he's a bit clumsy in using English and so cannot see that a reference to ethnicity, e.g. "there are lots of Asian people in China" is not necessarily insulting, compare "I wouldn't move to China because there are lots of Asian people in China".

That's been going on for months. Discrimination on the basis of race, colour or sexual orientation is illegal in the UK, snd that's why they were prosecuted, they aren't the first, but they should be the last hotel to discriminate as there is now a supreme court ruling that it is illegal to discriminate

This is a situation where the public mood/opinion has very much moved on from where it was even a decade ago, let alone several decades ago. The court rulings establish in black in white who's values predominate. There is no longer any issue on it, although as with every aspect of living in a society, some will disagree.
