I had my annual flu jab in the UK, as I am asthmatic. But here I am riddled with flu. :(

Riddled with flu? That's a new one.

I always think "flu" should be defined by your ability to do things. When I had flu, just the once, I literally couldn't lift my head up, let alone post on expat forum...

I've had flu, or a flu like illness, once. I couldn't get out of bed, fortunately was sweating too much to need to pee. One day I heard the front door open and close, steps on the stairs and thought about burglars but was too ill to do anything but hide under the covers. It was my mum, she'd come to see if I was ok as she couldn't get in touch. Mums eh?

Many confuse a bad cold or other virus with the flu. I know when I actually get the flu, I am sick as a dog, and in bed, and can't do a thing normally, and sleep and sleep, and all the yucky that comes along with a fever and flu.....

Luckily its been eons since I've been sick like that, I didn't even have a cold last year, first year ever I didn't catch something.
