Just bought a fitbit one...didn't fancy the flex- don't really do wrist adornment! Want to be fitbit friends?

I initially was thinking of the Flex until I read Schnooks' review. So glad I went for the unobtrusive One. I haven't really set up the social networking side yet, but will let you know when I do.

My OH wants a fit bit, not sure which one would be the best one for her?

The Flex, being a wristband, is a bit less hassle because you don't need to worry about taking it on and off, plus it's waterproof.

The One is a clip, can be clipped to your waistband or a lady's bra, or it can be removed from the holder and just kept in the pocket.

I have the One, and I prefer it. Working a desk job where I type a lot, stuff on my wrists drives me bonkers - I don't even wear a watch. I have my One clipped to my bra, so I don't accidentally leave it on my waistband and end up with it in the laundry, which my husband has done (it survived, though!). I also like that the One can be easily hidden - when you wear it on your waistband, you wear it with the screen facing towards you, so it slides under your belt and isn't bulky, so it's not obvious, whereas the Flex I find it a bit more obvious that you're wearing something. IF you're a female, then it goes clipped in the front middle of the bra - and no one notices at all!

At work, more people have the Flex than the One. My boss and my coworker both have Flexes, and they prefer it because it's just a no-hassle option. They don't have to remember to take it on and off, they just leave it and it does its thing.

One note from the coworker, though - she's very animated and talks with her hands a lot and she finds she gets a few extra steps as a result. Not a ton, but some extra. Because the One lives on your torso, it tends to be less susceptible to 'extra' movement.

So really I think it comes down to personal preference between whether you want a clip option, or whether you want a wristband option.

Tirytory - sent you a karma with my email so you can add me!

I keep the fitbit One in my trouser pocket. With jeans it fits very nicely in that mini "fifth" pocket that they have. I'd recommend the One over the Flex.

They should invent a device that clips into mouths and lets people know how much they are eating. They could also enable users to share the data with their friends and/or increase the size a "game" version as they munch away.

How about a device that monitors calorific intake and gives the person a small electrical shock if they exceed their limit.

How on earth have they managed to loose it? The clip is very strong...I often have to tug on mine to get it off. Although I do find that after 6 to 9 months the cover around the FitBit starts to stretch and get a little big. At which point I email them and they send me a new cover.

I bought one of those sort of gizmos to tackle my husband's snoring, whenever he snored he'd get a low level electric shock....but he'd always shnuck over to my bit of the bed, cuddle me in his sleep, snore....and I got the electric shock

Get him to sleep on his side. Stick the TV remote control behind his back...it will prevent him from rolling onto his back and thus stop him snoring. That's what I do and it works...35.5 years and still happily married.
