I f 'kin dunno why deez people fink 'kin swearin' an' such is f'kin ignorance, f'kin tossers an' f'kin snob wannabees.

Even in an aristocratic accent it comes across as ignorant: vis: the F**king Fulfords.

Just because "one" says fak, rather than fook doesn't add IQ points, or a better Debrett's listing.

OK, but ' I' personally think you could have chosen a less sensitive subject especially with a number of posters in the US who'se husbands or family are currently in harms way whether by their choice or not. Theres also a thread about 'Fallen Heroes' which again gives rise to resentment over your comments. Of course, being a rational person you will understand the responses, jokingly or not. End of point. Evening' all !

Why does that make it 'off limits'?

The responses are what they are - they don't need justification; in fact derbymatt was actually quite funny in his 'i'm not angry' angry ranting - i expect he amuses people and pisses them off in equal measure. Still, you see a reaction like that and you do just have to roll with it a little - admit it you'd do the same (maybe not with that topic tho).

Eww: we're getting backwash from TIO! Nasty!

Dogbyte, why are you stalking Alan over here?

He might be a wanker - but he's our wanker. He took it outside, and that's where I presume, it should stay.

Furthermore, when a forum is called Take It Outside why do the regular denizens get all bent out of shape when somene takes that forum at face value?

It warns:

Please keep all political, religious and other controversial topics in here. The discussions may become heated, so parental guidance is advised
So someone become's controversial? That's the SOP is it not? If someone wants to post something tender and heartwarming they should do so in the appropriate forum.

Leave our wanker alone!

Hiya Dogbyte, it's a sensitive subject but anyone should be able to discuss it - anyway triumphguy has put it all so much better than I

oh ....fu...ck.....in......g ...hell!

He was a complete toff and an absolute wanker. When on the bridge he would put his empty tea cup in front of who was on the helm, which was his way of saying get me tea now you low life, lower rank git.

He should take comfort in not knowing the 'free extras' we used to put in his tea for him!

And maybe we can take comfort from not knowing as well. We all know what you navy types get up to.
