Well, just got back from my 1st solo session at Curves - I think I worked harder - how long will it be before the limbs turn to jelly syndrome stops?

Asked to be weighed - 'No not just after yo0u have worked out you will weigh more.'

:curse:

So Food chart starts Monday - 1st weigh in Monday - Lets get this started - last week was just a build up

Hubby fixed the blender The seal had expanded and was no longer sealing so he cut the seal in half and bingo! (He had, had to retrieve the blender form the rubbish 1st).

Just so you know - I refuse to have scales in the house, pureley for the reason that my daughter gets worried about her weight - to the point she cries. She is not a fat kid, otherwise I would do something about it, knowing how I feel about being over weight!

Anyhow have a great weekend all you Exfats!

Hey Piff Poff, good luck with the weekend. I agree re scales. I have a 14 year old daughter with a stunning figure... but in the past she has worried about is she too chubby etc. (darned teen magazines). One of my closest friends is a size 16-18 and looks skinny (she's 6ft tall and made of muscle). It's just about being in good shape for the size the good lord made us, right?

im just loving this thread, its nice to hear from all those that are doing really well already and those that are just starting. ive gotta tell you ive been overweight most my life, and to spur those that are at the beginning, you can do this and you will be so happy with the results. i know i am. ive still a way to go yet but im not giving up. its so nice to walk into a normal shop and buy ladies clothes in regular sizes, i hated having to go to the "FAT GIRLS SHOP" to buy my clothes, i always felt ashamed when i went grocery shopping, was worried that people were looking in my trolley at all the unhealthy items id got, hated walking down the street because i thought people were thinking how large i was. i can tell you its so great not to have all these things to worry about anymore. in a nutshell "i feel fab".

Isn't it sad when we have to worry about our kids following the same path as us! I remember my overweight mother desparing of me complaining about my 9st 4lb self. God, if only I knew I had it then, I could have flaunted it!!! My 9 year old has made the odd comment about fat legs, or asking if she was a chubby child, etc. I have had to stop my daily weigh-in - because, although I know it's pointless anyway, I just don't need two lovely, normal, growing girls to see their obsessive mother in action !!

I am not weighing myself until the end of this week... I am pretty sure last week will have stayed static on the scales as the flab on my tum looks just the same, the jeans fit the same and I hadn't yet given up on my nightly glass of wine.

So today is Monday and I am officially on the wagon to see if that will do the trick. Now how am I going to get through this whole week without the aid of my Chardonnay crutch?

[QUOTE=Arris;5359372]Well, had my 1st weigh in this morning & happy to report lost 2lbs

I got weighed last night: Lost a 1lb = 23 lbs altogether.
So its slow going but a least in the right direction!
Good luck to everyone else due to get weighed soon.

Still haven't managed a weigh in myself.......might have to give in and buy some scales at this rate I have got a monthly review at the end of Oct though so I'll definately have some figures then.

I've not actually managed to lose any weight so far but at least I haven't put any more on I suppose. I'm struggling to get motivated at the moment and start each day off with good intentions and slip from there on.

I am going to the gym 'thrice' a week but most of the gym work is based around getting my foot back to normal so the exercises aren't focusing on weight loss.

A couple of years ago I lost 2.5 stone in 3 months, with the help of slimming world and the gym, so I know I can do it.....just have to get going.

hello,

Is anyone still a member of the slimming world website?? Just wondering the sin values of some of the canadian brands.....like pasta packets and flavoured rice etc.

On the website you can plug in the nutriotional values and it would tell you the sins.

I loved slimming world and will be going back on it myself on Friday (once the inlaws leave....they are a bad influence! )

Nicky

I found Slimming worlds Red days and Green days really easy to follow - easier than the weightwatchers thingies - shame there is no Red day Green day thingy here - Business opportunity someone?

My friend (the one we are going to be staying with for 6 months in NZ) was a slimming world consultant in England. She has made numerous efforts to take S World to NZ all to no avail!
I am hoping when we get out there she will motivate me so that I will return to Canada a 'skinny minny'.
My sister has just been to stay, she left behind 3kg of Galaxy not sure that my weigh in will be any good this week
