Well guys, I had an unexpected weigh in today - AFTER working out (I have been told you weigh more straight after a work out) and I have lost 2lbs - just through exercise!

I am a happy bunny. Still got an awful long weigh (LOL) to go, but I have surprised myself by regularly going to Curves as it is!

well had a net result of stay the same over the last 2 weeks (1/2lb on 1/2lb off!)
but have started going to a women's running group to give me some motivation (still planning on going tomorrow night despite the bloomin' awful weather forecast! lol)

Good for you!

I have just done a test walk (with the dog) to my new place of work to see how long it would take - about the same as driving. So I am planning on doing that - should be quicker than scraping the car, warming the car, finding a parking space (as I'll be working in the mall, staff have to park furthest from the doors) and then walking into the mall........

well done you guys. i cant tell you enough the benefits of exercise. as i have previously said i walk between 6 and 8 miles everyday, not only has my dog lost alot of weight but i have gone from a size 22(uk) to a size 16 since april this year and i feel fab. its hard work at times, sometimes i havent really got time to fit in a 3 hour walk into my day but i push myself and i have to say its so worthwhile. keep up the good work everyone.

Flip Flop - your an inspiration - and here's me wondering how I'm going to fit in 3x30 minute sessions next week when I start work

Manghams with all the stress you have been under this past week or so I would say a set back of 2lbs isn/'t worth worrying about. The fact is your still having a weigh in which still means you are somewhat focused. Wagons are there to fall off - you've just got to get back on again!

sounds like you have worked hard at this. well done. I consider walking and exercise but after a day at work my feet and bones ache so much I can only think of a hot bath.

I must try to do something at the weekend tho.

I must I must.........

and good for you too! i'd love to be able to walk to work if i wanted to but it's not really feasible.
i didn't go to the running group tonight, the weather was pretty atrocious, but i still went out round the village for 20mins (about a mile&half to three-quarters) and pleased myself with jogging all the way, no stops!

manghams - as piff said, you must still have some focus on the subject so keep with it!

have a good week everyone

excellent!
funny ole' thing exercise - before you do it you're always thinking "i really don't want to do this" then afterwards there's that lovely warm glow and smugness that you did it and feel great (well after you've recovered anyway lol)!!

you can do it piff poff. i get really frustrated at times cos my life is so full, i have to plan every minute of my day. i have 2 kids and my son has special needs so theres always something to be done. i work during the day and then again some evenings till midnight. i usually go for my walk around 11.30am and get home around 2.30pm, i then have about 30 minutes to have a cuppa before the school run. i wont bore you with a detailed account of my day but believe me i could really do without a 3 hour walk as its so time consuming when im already pushed for time. but on the flip side of the coin ive been overweight all my life and i know that if i stop walking i will surely pile all the pounds back on that ive worked bloody hard to get off. i try to look at my walk now as "my time". i enjoy it and i know its keeping me fit.. today i did a shorter walk of 2 hours 30 mins cos it was peeing down with rain all day, but i still made myself do it when it would have been easy to give it a miss. ive already got myself kitted out for winter with thermal underwear, gloves, socks etc. no excuses. i have to do this. good luck piff poff and everyone else. regards flipflopxx

Well!

I have just had my monthly weigh and measure and to date I have lost a total of 13 inches and 3lbs and my BMI has gone down a bit more too!

So I'm feeling a little pleased with myself
