Another survival movie...of sorts.

Swiss Army Man.

Quite an odd movie with a few unanswered questions as to what was really happening, if it was happening, but it was a very easy watch with no furrowed brows or anything like that.

A lot of humour, much of it knock-about and off the wall and some 'sweet' moments too.

And, yes, that was a cork, or bung, in his hand.

The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years
Just over half way through. I feel myself smiling permanently while watching

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - apologies if it has been mentioned before - I suppose it is a comedy of sorts but it is set in Afghanistan with Tina Fey as a war correspondent - it was pretty good.

This one's a 'short' @ 16 minutes.
Curmudgeons. It's a mini masterpiece and comes with a language warning.

Watched it all through.

If I'm honest it was enjoyable but brought back memories of a youth that
I'd half forgotten, one where I was carefree and much too innocent to be believable.

Back a few weeks ago with my son we watched 'Eight days a week' on the big screen in Toronto, rated it 5 out of 10. Did not do anything for me. I saw nothing new or nostalgic about it. All of it seen before way back when it mean't something. I wasn't impressed with the 4k footage at Shea stadium either.

Just another money grab for a production company.

This weekend past our daughter took us to see 'The girl on the train', after seeing the trailer that this would be of something to watch

What a load of crap. Rating 4 out of 10

.

Has anyone seen the film "Gernika"? It's about the German bombing of a small Basque town during the Spanish civil war. Very moving and tense.
