Re: Dear Canada Post, We Need To Talk.
After getting the email saying my new bubbler had cleared customs in Vancouver I had it in 3 days in Regina. 3 weeks in total from China which is really good!

Just because they are painted in the companies colors doesn't mean they are operated by said company.
If it has a US flag on the tail and a N registration it's operated directly and those are international flights between the US and Canada. The aircraft with C registrations are not operated by Fedex and UPS, both contract out the domestic flying to Canadian based airlines.
Morning Star Express handles Fedex.
Morningstar Air Express Inc. - Home
Cargojet handles UPS

Same as for example with Compass Airlines in the US, they fly aircraft painted in American Airlines and Delta Airlines colors, but those flights/aircraft are not operated by Delta or American.
The colors a plane is painted in is not indicative of what airline is actually operating them.

Re: Dear Canada Post, We Need To Talk.
Doesn't appear they even tried to deliver it, but that is the norm with Canada Post in my experience.
Most useless delivery service and I hate when items are sent via post.
Of course now I won't be able to get it until next Saturday since I work tomorrow at 12 and the postal outlet it's at opens at 11am but not enough time to go there get it and make it to work on time.
Then Sunday to Tuesday they are closed, and I work at 12 noon We'd to Fri.
I could see if nobody was home and not being able to deliver it but not even trying is not acceptable.
Wife was home all day. Tracking says they tried at 10:29am but I was also home at that time and nobody rang for a delivery.
If they can drop off the stupid slip they can bring the flipping parcel.

I’d given up on seeing this until after the holidays, however a remarkably cheerful (if exhausted looking) parcel post person turned up at the door with it at 6.30pm last night. I was gobsmacked.

Not Canada Post related directly, just indirectly.
Only in Canada does .20 cents in PST and 1.20 in GST cost 9.95 in a handling fee.
First time ever being charged for a parcel, there is $200 of items but not sure what they taxed as it clearly not the entire lot....

Canada Post apparently has redirected a parcel to a new address, why I haven't a clue...
"Item redirected to recipient's new address"
3 issues this week with Canada Post and their ineptness.

Re: Dear Canada Post, We Need To Talk.
So the parcel that was redirected ended up sorta being delivered. A pick up notice was left at least.
Parcel 2 was/is lost and no tracking updates for over a week now.
Parcel 3 replacement for parcel was supposed to be here Wed but still has not arrived last tracking was yesterday saying it was in Vancouver but no updates since.
Amazon sent a $50 gift card due to all the issues.
Would not be a big deal if the item was not important and something that was needed last week...LOL

Re: Dear Canada Post, We Need To Talk.
I did the vast majority of my Christmas shopping on Amazon this year... Prime is dangerous, haha. Through December we were pretty well getting one parcel a day, lol.
Anyways, one particular parcel was supposed to be delivered on the 3rd via Canada Post. No package on the 3rd, tracking updated the next day to say "out for delivery, arriving 4th"... and then "out for delivery, arriving 5th"... weird.
So I got in touch with Amazon and explained what was up, the guy said he'd get in touch with the carrier but I should have my package by end of day 5th.
As of this morning, no package. Tracking says "out for delivery, arriving 6th".
Looked at the detailed tracking information with Canada Post, which just says "Verifying recipient address, potential delay." What the ...??? Literally Canada Post has delivered like 20 packages in the past month, all via Amazon, so it's not like I magically changed my address or something.
Whatever, I spoke to Amazon again today and they are assuming Canada Post has lost the package, and are sending me a replacement, arriving Tuesday.
I was actually reasonably impressed with Canada Post through the holidays, but they are now back to being morons.
