I'm asking my daughter (5) what music she likes (this is a "live" email, I'm writing the answers as she speaks them ):-

"Radiohead" (she loves "Everything in its right place")
"funny number 2" (I'll have to figure that one out)
"Sweetdreams"
"I love you daddy!"
....
"You never give me your money" (she's singing it)
"Our house in the middle of the street"

I'm asking her "when you play music on your computer, what do you put on?"

She said "the girl with the coat dress that's blue and the hat that's blue"..took a bit of investigation but she's talking about "I deserve it" by Madonna.

Although she's not spent much time in England (born there, moved here when she was 14 months old) she does seem to have a preference for British music, sure I'm an influence but I listen to a lot of different stuff. She likes Coldplay, Madness, the Beatles, Queen etc and never complains when I play Pink Floyd
