Thank you, I've done ducks for someone who's doing a baby room in a duck theme and cows for my sister who likes cows.

I also sing a bit (not quite in the same league as Alberta Rose...). If I can make it upload, here's a recording of Masterworks of Oakville (70-strong choir, 36 orchestral players, all amateurs) in the finale of Bach's St Matthew Passion last May. I'm actually quite taken aback by how good this sounds on disc - one disadvantage about singing in a choir is that by the time the concert comes around we know exactly which the dodgy bits are and how approximate some of it is, but the recording engineers seem to have caught us on a good night!

warning to those without good broadband connections: this is nearly 4MB of mp3, for 5 minutes of music.

OH has managed to get some oil drill heads (if that is the right name), now I have to try and draw/paint a rig and a pig on them - OH's idea.

I'm hoping I can get more tissue boxes to paint, my supply seems to have dried up and the ones I can find online are minimum orders of 3000 or around there

Oh and thanks

You should try it some time, it's a lot of fun and usually very peaceful.
Never mind the wusses, you can go by yourself, with a pilot of course, and, depending on the size of the envelope (balloon), the basket and the burner(s) with up to five other folks too. Like the Nike ad says "just do it".
I took these from my B & B in Glastonbury last trip:

Now that's what I call creativity!

I'd buy one off ya for sure. Get in touch with the drilling companies see if they have any gong spare although o/h reckons that a lot of the drill bits are sent away to be rebuilt.

Just been informed that the bits that are well and truly f****d are taken back by the "bit" salesman. So maybe get in touch with a drilling bit supply company. I know my brother in law has one in his garage (saw it today!) i'll make enquiries as to whether its sentimental lol.

I make cards, lavender bags (with home-grown lavender)and cushions. Have a tiny bit more time on my hands now the youngest is at pre-school for 2 hours a day so hoping to be more productive than in the past!

made a nice hnefatafl board recently (obscure board game i have the ability to play, for some reason)

also a tudor bonnet hat, complete with pheasant feather and red-and-white cord knotted to make little George Crosses, for the Kitchener Oktoberfest!
(well, the missus helped me)
