We are getting a Great Pyrenees on Sunday
I always remember walking to school and daydreaming about things that you would love - and mine was always one of these dogs. You never think in a million years you would be in a position (or have a big enough garden!!!!) to have one - so the dreams get put to the back of your mind and you move on.
However earlier this week I mentioned to dh that it would be cool for us to get another dog as a friend for our exisiting one and he agreed.
Was originally looking for an older lab, but stumbled across people looking to rehome a Pyr as they have downsized, and as we are getting sheep in April he sounded perfect.
They are bringing him over for a visit on Sunday, so they can see we actually do live rurally and not in a condo lol, and all being well he will stay and be another addition to the fold.
So no point really to the thread (unless you want to add it to the list of pointless Friday ones????) just really happy that a lifelong dream is about to come true

OK so he's here
no car sickness Piff (which i'm happy about
)
The protective instinct in them is unbelievable, he already has had a couple of run ins with our Springer because he thinks he needs to shield me from this retard who bounces everywhere.
But they'll figure it out because poor guy obviously feels a bit out of sorts still.
He's just beautiful his name is Duke, and here's a couple of pics

Thanks all.
Yep - really protective, after only having him for 24 hours (picked him up yesterday afternoon in the end) you can tell he has his eye on you everywhere you walk and he'll jump in front of you at a minutes notice if Cash comes running up!
Hubby has been out all day - I just bloody hope he lets him come back in

Does your cow, have many chow traits? You should check out the chow forum, there are lots of mixes on there too. (www.chowchow.org)

I think you should rename the thread. Compared to the one on pensions and the other crap we see this is actually quite interesting
