The first film I went to watch by myself in Newcastle was Lawrence of Arabia, I think it was showing at the Stoll and it was certainly in 1962.

Tarrant: Now for a million pounds, who was one of the participants in the Great Train Robbery, Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Biggs, or Ronnie Wood?
Clive: Sorry, I don't know, sir, I'll have to pass.
Tarrant: But wait, you still have two lifelines, you can phone a friend or ask the audience.
Clive: Sorry, I'm just going to pass.
Tarrant: Are you some kind of idiot? It's a million pounds!
Clive: I may be an idiot, but I'm no informer.
