I see no good reason to change last years list. After all they're all a year older. :(

David Coleman

Brian Mulroney
Rupert Murdoch (joker).

Kudos to PF for volunteering. It's a PITA.

Double bubble.

And to clarify my entry, I mean they will die this year, even if they are officially alive or a few years yet.

I like the Prince Charles one. That'd be fun and would kick the legs from under the more popular choices of Phil & Liz.

Sadly, I came in with a "nul points" last year, so there's no real reason to revise my list. Maybe one of them will actually croak this year...

Duke of Edinburgh
Thatcher
Jean Chretien
Nicholas Parsons (joker)
Tony Bennett

I *think* it's this. Pick five people. You get points if they die. Points = 100 - age of person. Double for joker.

+ to count as famous, their death must be noted on the BBC. It's no good picking some iced hockey player who's world famous only in Alberta.

That's about it. I think the only exception to the iced hockey rule might be Garry Wetski.

Re: Celebrity Croakers Thread 2013

OK here are my picks

Michael Douglas (joker)
Muhammed Ali
Michael J Fox
Betty White
Duke of Edinburgh.

Though I have to say whilst trawling google and looking at similar thread on many forums doing this lovely competition, one forum had a long list of rules (I like our 2) and one of them is this

8. Any poster who kills or otherwise contributes to the death of any celebrity mentioned in this thread is disqualified. It's just a game, people. The only exceptions to this rule would be deaths caused by those posters serving as members of the police or armed forces of any country, in the line of duty.

Wow thats quite scary that you need to put that one in there

There's a reason we haven't seen 'Beadle About' for a while.

That's okay. I don't follow hockey anyway. In fact I was enjoying the lockout.

But if I understand you, I'd be better of to pick a high school drama student from Whitby than Lanny Mcdonald?

Dick Van Dyke
Paul Gascoigne
Dickie Davies (world of sport)
Hulk Hogan

Has Lanny McDonald done anything other than play ice hockey a long time ago? If not I don't think he'd qualify as "famous" and, anyway, he can't be worth a lot of points now. A random drama student is a bit of gamble, can you count on picking one who'll go postal?
