Looking at the picks people have selected I can't help but think many of them are people we secretly wish weren't on this earth anymore rather than who we think will pop their clogs.

I've noticed a couple of possibly new tactics.

• Pick someone with an accusation or several against them with the possibility they may top themselves

and/or

• When you have someone who was selected and died, don't do anything right away about replacing them with another choice, keep your eye open for potential deathbed scenarios and then have your points updated when you have your replacement lined up.

This last one is heavily dependent upon sources. After all, that Canadian Supermarket Tabloid had the Queen on her deathbed 4 or 5 years ago.

What is the benefit in taking yourself out of the game for any period of time? Have your next victim, er, selection ready to go so they don't die while you pontificate leaving you with nothing.

Well you're not really out of the game, you just haven't had your points added yet.
Certainly you won't get points for someone who dies pre-selection, but unless you've done a ton of research it's a shot in the dark anyway. :unsure:
But hold off for a bit and you may fill your vacancy with someone who gets badly injured, say, in a skiing accident :nod:
