Hmmm David Gest - strange guy and ironic after the apparent mix-up in Celebrity Big Brother. Apparently he was about to go on tour with a Play titled "David Gest Is Not Dead but Alive With Soul".

Good heavens.

I remember our class reading one of his plays (Roots) when I was at school. Maybe I'm confusing it with something else but my memory of it was that either the book we read from was old or there was something else about it that made the story or writer seem so old that he was already a pensioner, if not already dead.

But it was published only about a dozen years earlier and he'd have been in his late 30s when we read it. :blink:
