Joe Warmington? Really? He's hardly a neutral source in any of this, is he? He was, effectively, Rob Ford's mouthpiece to Ford Nation through his Sun column for years. And Warmington himself is quick to point out that he's a columnist, not a news journalist. Pretty much all media outlets except the Sun were of the same opinion on Ford - he might have been a nice enough chap as an individual (although there's some room for quibbling even there), and was an effective "retail politician," but as a mayor of a large city he was operating well beyond his capabilities.

A Friday story by the Toronto Star, curried from an audio tape and anonymous sources close to the mayor, describes the mayor drunk driving, spewing a litany of racial slurs and taunting his wife by telling his friends to have sex with her.

“You can f–k her if you want, in front of me … she lets me f–k girls in front of her all the time,” Mr. Ford is reported to say at one point to a visitor at his Etobicoke home, apparently taking no pains to conceal the comment from wife Renata

I'm sure there's probably some truth in the articles, but I'm going to disbelieve anything by 'anonymous sources' and 'reported to say to a visitor'.

He wasn't perfect, neither am I. I would never consider running for office because my mistakes are mine alone, and not something I want millions of people discussing.

Political career politician clones are elected because they play the system, so the system covers for them.

Didn't see Cruyff going...knew he had cancer but thought he would beat it as most athletes seem to do

Fond memories of "being him" when doing some trick or awesome feat on the school field at lunchtime, granted he was ending his career as a player when i was young, but his legacy is far reaching
