Canadian Everyday Regular Normal Life

Personally, I began watching with an exuberant desire to learn but was left frustrated and disappointed.
Embarrassing as it may seem, I thought I would finally learn which coin is a 'nickel' and which is a 'dime'. I'm still none the wiser

Ah thats where those damn Canucks catch us out. Logically the dime would be larger than the nickel 'cos its worth more. But oh no, we'll make the more valuable piece of shrapnel smaller, just to confuse the immigrant. I think distinguishing between the two is worthy of a youtube video on it's own.

Ah, but they are different colours at least and everyone knows silver is worth more than bronze. I think 20p is smaller than 10p, but that's got funny edges like the 50p so it stands to reason that it's worth more than 10p. Somebody should produce a video.

You're right, someone should make a video. All new immigrants should be aware that Reuleaux heptagons are way cool (especially when referred to in 'which is best' currency coinage arguments).

Wasn't that an American quarter?
Why did I watch that all the way through?

We have started a youtube channel dedicated to, yep, Canadian Everyday Regular Normal Life.
We will post a different activity or item here every week (hopefully)
We will include all the things that we now take for granted in Toronto, Canada. Some boring, like money zzzz and others that can be fun,
like trying to order 3 separate meal things at a Timmies with an English Accent.
This is all meant to be entertaining while still being educational.
Please feel free to comment and subscribe to the channel if you wish.
Heres the video, Canadian Money:

WOW, you guys are great,
you should get a job at the Sun newspaper.
Yep i agree that was a crap video, but i just wanted to test the site and see if anyone would look.
Yikes, loads looked and that surprised me. Thanks for even looking everyone, it's a start.
Video #2: The School Bus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HitNmip68I
This is how most of the videos will look, this is the best i can do.
It's really there to show any one who has not yet managed to visit Canada or for those who have been and just like to remember the good times had here. School buses are every where, and they are great.
Although my lad has to get the regular bus as he now attends the local High School. Dohh

I thought it lacked a certain degree of humour.
They could have noted the subtle size similarity to the old UK money the nickle to the three penny bit, dime to sixpence, quarter to the shilling and the fifty cent piece didn't even get a mention.
Or it could have been noted that Canada has very similar coinage to the U.S. that until recently was worth 20% less so Canadians shopping in the States could slip in the odd Canadian coin and get an instant 20% increase in its value.
I was also disappointed that they didn't mention the joke behind the toonie being the only coin showing the queen with a bare (sic) behind.
