Actually , sorry just realised. You're flying Canada to Uk return. Yes you can fly from Canada to UK in winter but not UK to Canada. Thought the OP was UK to Canada.
have to disagree, i have flown with them numerous times in the winter UK to canada.. dont know where you got that information but its wrong. all that happens is it changes to monarch for the winter season.. and i always book online..
plus some of my friends have been checking flights for dec/jan and they are there on the website.

as for people moaning about one bag, thats not the airline, thats international airport security rules. even the most expensive airlines are 1 hand luggage only... last week mine must have been 12kg plus and a huge bag and no one even asked me about it. so the 5kg limit is not enforced...

Depends what airline you go with, I was charged nothing outbound but $200 inbound, the cases weighed exactly the same in both directions, nothing added, nothing removed.

It all depends on the mood of the employee.

Oh, er, sorry KittyKer, but i got my "information" from the Canadian affair website when i tried to book flights for ourselves (UK to Canada) in winter 2004/5 and then again when we wanted to book flights for my MIL to fly to UK last Nov and to come this year for christmas. OK.
If they are flying throughout the winter now then it's news to me, they didn't used to.

i flew to Calgary twice last winter with Canadian affair. first at christmas time. second in jan. then again in April just on the changeover to summer..

their website doesnt always show all the flights. sometimes its best to call..

if they dont fly through winter, then ive done well to get here as ive never been to calgary in anytime other than winter over the last 8 years or so. every time with Canadian affair.

Argument's easily resolved by a quick trip to their website....

Hi
just a quick question how can you get to air transat without going through Canadian affair, I've tried but never managed, even through the Air transat website

Oh another question does anyone one know how to book Canadian flights from England, but still pay Canadian prices, which seem to be cheaper because they don't pay as much tax?

Thanks
Von

Well, the answer to both questions is get a friend in Canada to book for you, and post you the tickets. Sorry!

Winter flights must be pretty new, because the charters all used to stop into and out of Vancouver at the end of October, start up again the following spring. Now I see their schedule goes right through the winter, though limited. I'll still stick with BA though!
