A tad nippy for a few days but hardly a deep freeze.

OK - today I will admit it was pretty horrible. Temp registered -19 going out this afternoon - with a mighty wind blowing in gritty snow sideways and picking up all our carefully shovelled snow and pushing it up against the garage door. I can't see the town below me and it just looks 'foggy'. However, it's nothing compared to a proper storm like wot they get out East (
) - and we've not had a dump of snow.
So - cold - definitely

Its funny.... because I just spent the afternoon with a friend from New Foundland and when I opened my front door we had a mini snow drift going on. She thought it was funny as, normally in Newfoundland when a storm comes in, you could potentially be digging yourself out of your house.
But she did say it isn't very often that the temperatures plummet that drastically.
It is definitely BBRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!
It will be interesting to see what the Ctrain is like tomorrow morning

Interesting is not quite the word I've have chosen .... but we have had some interesting ones in the last couple of weeks!
What happens is, everyone stays inside the station until the train comes, then it's a mad rush!!!

btw, I haven't seen you yet! I do keep looking ......

-26 outside my back door 5 mins ago. That's the coldest I've seen so far - I'm just a "first winter" lightweight, so it still holds some fascination for me

Just reminds me all the more why we chose Kelowna.
I washed the car this afternoon.
Yes it was cold and some of the rinse water froze in small patches BUT it was possible. I don't expect you'll be doing that in Edmonton till, er August!!
