Just a warning for prospective immigrants who might think going out for a bit of breakfast is simple. Its not, its a cultural minefield. Apparently, making tomato sauce nipples on your fried eggs is not funny but extremely immature. :(

Indian candy, poached eggs and a cup of tea.

I might have to buy an extra smoker this year as the sockeye run is meant to be massive.

Now I have to run out and buy kippers, suggestible or what?
[Mission accomplished, in touch with my quartermaster side it seemed wise to get 2 packs and have 1 in reserve]

From memory, like asparagus, but more expensive.

It's recommended that they be well cooked to avoid being poisoned and I thought it ruined them.

Poisoned or soggy and overcooked? Eat asparagus instead.

I once wrote a 'Field guide to Fiddleheads', you know.

Anyone can read it (apart from Oink, as he's been BANNED), it's here:

I had 3 soft boiled (6 min medium) eggs with salt and pepper and a pat of butter and a little pile of toast. At home Sundays (at one time) were special so we'd have pancakes or waffles or soft boiled eggs... obviously eggs are easiest.

If you can't find it I'm sure you'll be able to get the ingredients to make it. Bit of effort but nothing beats homemade. If you can't buy it I'll help you make it.x

Excuse me for butting in but I've just spent an hour browsing this fascinating thread and would like to know what that breakfast wreath thing is! i thought wreaths were for funerals not eating_ what in god's name is inside it -please??
thank you in advance.
I can't contribute to your thread as I never have breakfast (unless I'm at a decent hotel) 2 coffees and 2 cigarettes suffice me.
Ciao

I bet that's made your day kellys247. We all know what you'll be having for breakfast lol

My 11 year old loves bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon.
I love my juicer so start the day with an apple, celery, cucumber & spinach juice which I then whizz in a blender with avocado and ice, sounds bad but tastes so good.
