Can somebody explain why do they do this? Because I just don't get it.
So why don't you go up to these hairy Harleyfags, ask why they rev up their engines so much and that you object to the noise and would they please cease and desist.
Then have someone write on this thread informing us of your injuries and how long you're expected to be in rehab.

Shouting at pensioners on Harleys can be awkward, you have to shout really really loud

I’ll be honest fat old men with bald spots and white hair, even in large groups clad in leather don’t come across as very threatening..

The only thing sadder than seeing the Harley riders in Calgary is seeing the sportsbike riders.

Virtual racebikes between their legs, crawling along in city traffic, sucking in the fumes from the truck in front.

Breaks my heart.

I struggle with the sport bike thing?

in the UK all I’d hear is voooom and they passed never saw them coming..

Here, you catch them up, sat upright one hand on their hip, waving at each other? WTF!!!
I’m beginning to think the sport bike thing over here has more to do with wearing leather and meeting like minded friends than traveling at speed…

I don't understand the need to ride in groups. I'd never call up friends and see if they want to follow me in my car, so why would I on my bike? Sitting in traffic on any sort of bike makes no sense.

I have no beef against anyone for their mode of transport, although what REALLY gets me riled is the sports bike riders here seem to think their skin is made of kevlar and will often be seen in shorts and t shirts riding around.

Are they bloody stupid or something

cos riding a harley means they're haaarrd men, real men, real macho hard men that are harder and macho-er and men-er than all the other men.

Never mind the sound, what about the bike itself? Harleys are overpriced junk. I have zero respect for anyone who buys one new. Used, maybe...
