For me, living in [this part of] Canada has sufficiently distanced me from the poor value for money and problems that have arisen from over-population in the UK.
Thinking in an iconic fashion, in the UK I had a brick wall, a car alarm, traffic jams, a house alarm, insular neighbours and a materialist desire.
I don't have any of those here, just an elevated sense of appreciation.

He is worried about jobs, he is in IT, wants to work for an Investment bank doing market data etc - does any one know good professional sites he can apply for jobs or best way to do it. Cant find anything on Monster!!
Help please!!!

I know he's tried workopolis - he's just worked very hard to get to the place he is at here in London - he doesnt want to go down on the career ladder in Canada.
I just think he's very marketable - just need to find jobs which he can apply!
Thanks for your help!

If he's a computer person in banking he will necessarily take a career step backwards by moving to Canada. He may be persuaded to do it but it'll have to be a "enough of the rat race, I'm dropping out to bond with my inner peasant" kind of thing.

Thanks for your feedback - are you an IT person yourself?
The main problem I have is actually finding jobs on line, do you know of any sites which are catered for his type?
I suggested contacting the big banks himself - however, he's so set on the UK way of life where everything is posted online.
His argument is - no jobs - no moving which is fair!

Yes.
I don't think there are enough of that sort of job in Canada to warrant head hunters, web sites and so on. There isn't much in the way of banking or computing in Canada compared to London.
That'd be the best approach. There aren't many so it's not a huge task.
