Beef, do you buy it still?

If you can find some other item, that you would normally buy, that's on offer it might balance out on the overall spend.

Tomatoes and tomato sauce definitely does have a lot of acid, so certainly worth trying some plain pasta (perhaps with a cream sauce instead of a tomato sauce) to see if that still causes you issues... or otherwise try maybe just having some rice with some tomato sauce to see if that does it as well.

So I was attracted by Sobeys offer of Prime Rib steak for $7.99. I know we've paid more to have it as roasts and it's been lovely.
Unfortunately they were quite big but they didn't really lend themselves well to getting a few packs and cutting them up into better sizes. So I just bought the four smallest. I really should say 4 least big ones.
It was $24 which, for us, is a very expensive home cooked meal.
But Corn was on offer at the same time. $3 for for 12 and that's what we're having today. Not that we'll get through 3 each.

We've been experimenting with more expensive cuts of beef lately - seem to have a bit more cash, partly due to better £/$ rate - buying stuff for $10-$15 lb.
