Congratulations. Looks like it was a great location.
Hope the marriage and years visa help with feeling more settled.

yup the years visa was a surprise actually.
As we came through and presented docs I explained to the lady immigration officer the whole story and she asked if there had been any paoperwork submitted yet and we said no, but that I was sending in the application to change or extend conditions along with the spousal sponsor forms.
She knew her stuff and said "but then you'd be on implied status and can't leave Canada, so what happens if theres an emergency or something?"
She then said that we would go and do the visitor paperwork now and we went to the back room where a guy immigration bod came in (he was a bit scary!!) she explained the situation and after him huffing and puffing she asked him if they could give me 2 years, he said no a year should be enough.
So after about 20 mins we were all sorted I think the majority of that time was me trying to explain everything that had happened over the last 18 months
Darcy was having kittens bless him not really knowing what the hell was going on, but I was prepared for something coming back anyway.
And yes it is a fab wedding present so to the mmigration peeps at Edmonton - you were great and thank youu very much

Congratulations - told you it would all work out. The immigration thing is just proof of that!
You've paid your dues and earned a long and happy life together with "the Duck". Hope to see you both soon for that wedding reception barbeque you've been promising.........

Great news and hope you'll be very happy.
We're off to Vegas for the first time soon so can't wait, it sounds right up my street.

Congrats.
Did you really like Caesar's Palace, BTW. I found the place intimidating.

Congrats indeed! the pic looks fantastic - that's quite the gown, and a gorgeous colour (to my myopic male eyes anyway). Cool news about the visa, too. Somebody must have decided it's about time your luck turned... maybe you should have gambled a bit more while you were there
