So, if Islam does call for the extermination of non believers (I understand that this is what the Koran calls for, even on a non-fanatical interpretation of it) aren't all Muslims, by virtue of being one, bigots?
I believe all religions to be crazy but I am curious as to why someone is only called a bigot if they are white, tattooed and "racist"

I'm white and I have tattoos. What label would you give me?

I like religious people I find them really funny. All that chanting, wearing funny costumes and waving their arms about is brilliant. Of course the suppression, murder and torture that sometimes comes along with it can temper the hilarity somewhat. Shame really.

The problem is that islam is not co-existing with other religions in Britain. People always talk about extremists but it's all relative. The most devout catholic, for example, simply doesn't compare with the most tamed muslim. I've seen interviews with muslims and I'm not talking about Captain Hook. These are polite, calm people. Certainly not extremists. But no matter how controlled and respectful, the message is clear. That islam doesn't respect the existence of other religions. In fact it's in the Koran, to draw the blood of non-believers. And Islam isn't about choice. It's about blind ignorance. Islam is racist. It's appallingly sexist. It stands for everything that every self-respecting Christian would and should find repugnant.
BTW I just finished watching the BBC documentary Young, British and Angry. Never heard such a load of tosh in my life. That dumb ass reporter spent the whole time trying to find tiny holes in the EDL with limited success. On the other hand, the EDL's recruiting of a token asian and black guy is also a little lame. Perhaps they should have considered getting Bernard Manning as their spokesman.

It seems things are built up way out of proportion, its all down to interpretation of the Koran, many of these fanatics take passages of it totally out of context, (some of its language is quite strong, parts of it I believe is very similar to the old testament.... an eye for an eye etc) and as a result the fanatical muslims use this and over ride the peace lovers.
If I were a devout Muslim, instead of wasting energy on comparitvely unimportant issues such as the examples above, I think energy would better utlised distancing themselves from the fanatical arm of Islam and its followers....of which sometimes gives it such a bad reputation.

Not at all. I am surprised at how easily bigot is thrown at the white, tattooed brigade, and not the others. I agree they are all bigots.

I've just watched the video by the Guardian. It's pretty extreme. I can see why people are worried about it.
The group does have a number of black and Indian members, although obviously in a minority. The article also mentions that the group has several hundred serving members of the armed forces.
I think to dismiss this group as simply a bunch of racist thugs could be a mistake. Although it's quite clear that the majority of them are exactly that. It seems to me that the government has a duty to look into why this group has become so popular in such a short time frame, and why it's attracting people from such diverse backgrounds. Clearly the answer is that people are uniting against what they see as a common enemy. In this case it's Islam. In the 80's the National Front were against anybody who wasn't white. This is different, and has the potential to become far more widespread.

"The film contains themes of religious satire which were controversial at the time of its release, drawing accusations of blasphemy and protests from some religious groups. Thirty-nine local authorities in the UK either imposed an outright ban, or imposed an X (18 years) certificate (effectively preventing the film from being shown as the distributors said the film could not be shown unless it was unedited and carried the original AA (14) certificate). Certain countries banned its showing, with a few of these bans lasting decades."
