Yes, and I don't blame it on a fat gene. I eat too much of the wrong foods and exercise not enough. Self-inflicted in my case.

Not even gonna try, don't even want to this is the level of mickey taking the welfare state is subjected to. FAT GENE my arse ( and yes i am a little chubby) you get fat because you put in more fuel than you use, body= engine! if you aint movein you aint using so you shouldn't be eatin, yes supermarkets do promote foods that in excess are bad for you but thats not a melon on your shoulders its a head with a brain if it were a melon we may be having an altogether different conversation.
its not rocket science to know that chips every day = very big bottom ditto bacon butties, chocolate, biccis with every brew, pizza, cheese, icecream, cake, fizzy pop with sugar, see i know how to get fat i loe all these things but when my trousers get tight i dont buy new ones i stop eating naughties, i'm not fatist or any other ist but i am for not having the mickey taken out of a system designed to help genuinely ill people live better. Youre ill because youre fat, your not fat because you're ill.

Completely agree - and I have to say I laughed out loud when I read the quote from the family saying what they ate. mmmmmm bacon butties and pies - is there not a clue somewhere hidden in that menu(let me give you a clue - its not the word AND) :rofl:

depends on the prevalence of the "fat gene" in the population. unless its carried on the Y chromosome in which case there is no chance of the parents sharing the same gene.
