Also, one of the Google results was a headline from the Toronto Sun - "Ann Coulter Visit Sets Off Furor"
What's the difference between furor and furore?

You're Canadian, so you can choose between the two.

She cancelled - WTF basis does she have to file hate-crime action? Being told that she was responsible for what she said is simply reinforcing the law - if you incite hate as defined by a sovereign country's laws, then you may be charged for it. What plays okay here may not fly in Canada. It's okay to be a Holocaust denier here but not in Germany. But if you even hint that you want the President to catch a cold - that's a crime here. Not everywhere else.
Sorry, Ann, you folded. If you'd done the speech and been charged, then you could have counter-charged, but you've got nothing to protest at the moment. Care to reschedule?

I didn't say I was proud of my dilemma.
She just makes stuff up to suit her position at the time. I remember she was belligerently insisted that Canadian forces were involved in Vietnam and as such Canada should be grateful to the US, so they should allow Fox 'News' into the country. She's simply mad.

I'm convinced she's a satirist.

Coulter is an entertainer. She says outrages things but she knows that people will pay attention to her, buy her books, attend her speeches, etc. Smarter than what the average person would give her credit for.
She is the far right but no more further from the center than the far left types who outnumber the far right and are creating a suffocating world that even saying "far left" will be deemed racist by some morons out there.

Okay - had to re-read from a different source. Still, what hate speech is she quoting? Seems that she's blaming the bloke who warned her, and there's nothing wrong with that. Sure, the rioters shouldn't shut down someone's right to speak, but they'd have to be dealt with at the time and if there was a reasonable cause to think violence would erupt, the police were correct in stopping the speech. Or perhaps she wanted better police protection?

As opposed to lower middle class NA's who parrot ideologically misguided clap trap under the guise of conservative values and neo-liberal economic theory that contravenes theirs and their communities better interest.

My poor old brain fogged up halfway through that sentence. Your words were replaced with images of a pub full of loud and slobbery drunken politics students all being terribly right-on, I was suddenly overcome with a violent urge to start batoning people left, right and centre.
