WELCOME TO CANADA
Hi Zoe, so do you like it? New country, new life, new name (well kinda)

The flight was fine, because I worried sooo much about my two babies down in the hold, I never had time to think about myself at all.

Starting to sink in now that this isn't just a two week holiday - but that's good.

Hi there Gryph,

Thanks for the welcome, good to know you had the same reaction about your goods to follow forms too, I was really panicking at the airport, but there was nothing I could do about it as I was a good child and didn't argue with the immigration officer

Hi there Liz, we really will have to meet in person now we are so close to each other!

Well as for your point about WP, immigrationn knew Lorna wasn't as hard a worker as me......................and................no, only joking, I think some jobs qualify through the NOC code system for Open Spousal Work Permits and some dont and my OH's did, unfortunately

Either that or Lorna told Mal she didn't get a SOWP

Indian Head is gorgeous, even in the snow and we walked across Katepwa Lake last Sunday - bet you didnt know we could walk on water

Hi to the davis family way up in Yorkton!!

We're coping well with the temperatures - dressing accordingly! The medicals were exactly as you described them - weird, but hopfully they will be OK.

I have PM'd you too.

Hello Coffeepot,

Yes we have had a good two weeks, busy busy busy

It is good OH was there to support me at the start as it was the worst thing i have ever done to leave my family like that, but seeing them all over the past two days on the webcam has been great.

The dogs are settling well, their feet get sore quite quickly if they are out for more than a few minutes at a time - I feel really guilty watching them limping back into the house ans then the heat int he house makes it even worse - but they soon recover. The vet says their paws will soon adjust and they will be fine. My little dog discovered his first squirrel today, eyes like a hawk and he is now on guard duty at the window looking for more intruders in his garden! The summer is going to be fun, we will be getting chased out of town for having such disruptive dogs!!

However - it is now nearly a year and a half down the line and both my husband and I have proper jobs, a nice wee house and even my cats are settled.

You will have some great days and some not so great....... just go with the flow!!

Both of our mum's have visited and seemed to be happier once they could see for themselves we were in a nice place

Enjoy !!!!
Aww thanks Mrs Madmac for such encouraging words, it really is hard but I suppose this will pass in time, I cant wait for their visit.
