AlvicSK

Welcome to canada

We came in on Wp at calgary and they weren't interested in goods to follow. We did need it for when we cleared customs though

Hi there. I am always confused about this. How come you can work and Lorna can't - well at least not for money?

Indian Head is really pretty. Near to Katepwa too. You can get to the lake pretty quick from there.

Welcome to Canada!

I read your mum's thread and it brought it all back to me. I was a terrible wreck at the airport when I said goodbye to my mum and my little sister....... it will be forever etched on my memory...... and then the first day here I was sooo down I would have gladly got on a plane and come straight back.

However - it is now nearly a year and a half down the line and both my husband and I have proper jobs, a nice wee house and even my cats are settled.

You will have some great days and some not so great....... just go with the flow!!

Both of our mum's have visited and seemed to be happier once they could see for themselves we were in a nice place

Enjoy !!!!

Congratulations and welcome - we arrived about 6 weeks in front of you - time just flies past.

Our dogs recovered nicely from the flight, but now have fur growing out of the bottom of their paws! Must be to keep their feet warm in the snow.

Hi Mandy, its good to be back on BE - i really missed you lot Funny how diconnected we feel from the world with no internet connection.

The cold isn't as bad as I feared, although -52 last Mon was something else, brrr.

Me and OH think the snow is a novelty, but we are fortunate that we dont have much of a drive to clear and it seems that in SK it snows once and lies the whole winter and is only topped up now and again, which is great.

How are things in Drumheller?

Thanks Arris, the sorting has been fun, trying to figure out what to buy now or wait for the things in the container has been a pain.
