Alvic's Back in Town!!!!!!
 

Yes its really me - I know you all missed me dearly:thumbsup:

I changed my username ever so slightly to celebrate us finally arriving in Saskatchewan. We are actually here two weeks on Sunday, that is sooo hard to believe:eek:

Well we love it in Indian Head - Vegasrockstar come on over as you will love it too.

Have to say that leaving our families was the worst thing we have ever ever had to do, had it not been for the strength of my husband, keeping my spirits up, I would never have left. For those of you who have met my Mum on BE(Katmandu), if you read her thread on the pain of parting you will understand somewhat of why it nearly killed me to leave - and thanks to all you lot who helped her through those first bad days.:wub:

Today SaskTel finally decided to sort out our phone line and now we have our internet connection back, it wasnt too pleasant either trying to phone home from a phone box at - 40 temps!!

We sailed through immigration and got our TWP no probs (one strange thing happened to us at Calgary immigration - when I produced our Goods to Follow etc the young girl said that we only needed them when landing as PR's and she never stamped them, I just hope we get our goods when they do arrive) and on Monday past we took our medicals for PR, so fingers crossed everything will move along nicely.

Got our SIN, Health Cards and have bought a big bus for a car - a Chrysler Concorde, its sooo comfy.

Mr Alvic starts work on Monday and I will hopefully get a job in the local bakery - mmmm cinammon buns.:rofl:

Sasha and Mac, my two dogs are also here with us, a bit worse for wear, and finding the snow a "change".

I will update some more tommorrow - I just cant believe we are finally here and to all those still waiting, hang on in there it is worth it.
