I'm 50 and my boss is 26! Same age as my oldest son... he lacks maturity at times...at others you'd think he was old!!!

Oh and just turned 47 not 48.... 48 sounds so much older! I think my heart and soul is a lot younger though.

Will keep fingers and toes crossed for you re the Brampton job. Brampton is a soulless place but there are some lovely little towns around it worth checking out to live in.

Re turning 47. I was quite content with the late 40s. But OMG hitting the big 5-0 this year was a total shock (yeah I know, like I didn't know it was coming!). It just seems sooo old! 51 isn't that far away. Doesn't sound so bad somehow!

My boss is younger than me by 8 months and her boss is younger than her by 3 months so we are all roughly 42. For that I am grateful.

So 60 must be the new 50 then. I'll vote for that.

Thanks DandNHill, I liked the company that interviewed me in Brampton....so Im hoping something comes of that, I had a positive reply to my follow up email. Wel'l see. I have to agree Brampton does seem rather souless, a great description, but as you say nearby towns that are nice places to live...

As for age....I was mortified about turning 40...even 2 years before I was stressing about it! lol Now I don't care anymore, 40 was the 'old' milestone to me, so it doesn't matter to me now. I still behave a lot younger!

I am not looking forward to 40, I don't really look forward to 40's, to me it means running out of time....

Compared to just about everyone we know, we are not experiencing the same things in life, some we desire, some we don't.

Time for what?

Reading this thread it seems to me that a lot of you missed that teenage obsession with existentialism.

I think you’re having a career and as a bloke you’ve got another 30 odd years to knock some lass up.

I don't think I could handle a kid at nearly 70...lol..

The kid thing really isn't within our control, higher powers decided for us, although with a lotto win, science could fix that...

I would have agreed with that...until the day I hit 50!

I keep looking at 70/75 year olds and commenting to OH that they don't seem that old! Lol. I'm working on convincing myself that I'm still young!

I'm really excited for you! Take a look at Caledon for housing.

As for age if you hang out with us you'll feel young! Lol
