doesn't it depend on what kind of pool cover you get? i'm referring to the ones that slide across the pool in two grooves alongside the pool. i thought those were safe, and they keep the pool clean

anyway, after a quick google search i also found this: http://www.aspectspools.co.uk/swimmi...-safety-covers

plus there are also dome type covers that slide across and can be locked

An above ground pool can look great if it has a deck built around it. Also an inground pool raises your taxes.

Cananda is definately on the cards for us for the next 10 years or so, but we still want to settle in Europe somewhere - France, possibly Spain (not a dodgy holiday resort though ).

Just have to do the big move from Oz first

Basically the same as Scotland then, though it seemed in Jockland that the winter togs were from October to April some years

Theres an Intex 18x9x52 one too that has solid walls, anyone tried that one, can you leave them out all winter, any recommendations
We had a pool with a inflatable upper ring for 2 years , can not keep them up in the winter , however the raccoons burst it last August , We bought one with steel poles and Vinyl sides for this year, 18 feet x 48 inches , hopefully the Coons will not have so much fun this year . Maybe we are White Trash !!! , LOL but we have fun .
